Conil de la Frontera Easter Week
During Holy Week in Conil de la Frontera, the brotherhoods and fraternities of Conil de la Frontera take to the streets to celebrate this festival that combines culture, tradition and faith.
The religious programme during Holy Week is extensive, with the brotherhoods that process through the historic centre of the municipality standing out:
- Palm Sunday. Hermandad de la Borriquita. Jesús del Amor and María Santísima de la Paz y Esperanza. It departs at 17:00 hours from the Parroquia de Santa Catalina.
- Holy Tuesday. Lignum crucis. Departure at 23:00 from the Capilla del Espíritu Santo.
- Holy Wednesday. Hermandad del Santísimo Cristo de la Buena Muerte y Nuestra Señora de la Amargura. Departure at 19:00 from the Parroquia de Santa Catalina.
- Maundy Thursday. Hermandad de Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno and Nuestra Señora de los Dolores. Departure at 19:00 from the Chapel of Nuestro Padre Jesús Nazareno.
- Good Friday. Venerable Hermandad de Penitencia del Santo Entierro de Nuestro Señor Jesucristo y María Santísima de la Soledad. Departure at 20:00 from the Parroquia de Santa Catalina.
- Resurrection Sunday. Nuestro Padre Jesús Resucitado. Departure at 12:00 from the Parroquia de Santa Catalina.
