General information

Museo De Raíces Conileñas
Raíces Conileñas Museum

Ethnographic Museum founded in 1979 by the "Raíces Conileñas" Association, with the aim of preserving, protecting and disseminating the history, traditions and culture of our town.

Since 1982 it has been located in the reconstructed premises of the Castle of Conil and is made up of more than 500 pieces.

The museum is divided into four rooms, the first of which is dedicated to the tools of the sea and the countryside. The other three simulate a late 19th and early 20th century house of a well-to-do middle class family and reflect the way of life and the utensils commonly used in this period. In it you can also see representative objects of the different artisan fishing arts, traps or objects originating from the vegetable garden and agriculture of Conil.
