Conil-Vejer Trail

General information

Senderos Conil Vejer
This trail links the towns of Conil and Vejer de la Frontera

This trail is linear and runs for 13.9 km linking Conil and Vejer de la Frontera. It lasts approximately 4.5 hours on foot and is of low difficulty.

The route begins in the area around the Salado River, 77 hectares of protected land catalogued as a Site of Community Interest (SCI) for its richness and ecological importance.

It goes from the coastal area to inland areas, crossing the region of La Janda. During the route you can enjoy the landscape of the Andalusian countryside with its fields of wheat, beetroot and sunflower, as well as the vegetation formed by prickly pears, mastic and cork oaks, and the mosaics of the agricultural countryside typical of Conil.

When we reach Vejer, we come to one of the most attractive places on the route: the rural village of Santa Lucía, located on the slopes of the plateau of La Muela. Nearby is the famous Santa Lucía aqueduct and the water mills. A signpost indicates the uphill stone path that leads to the road that goes up to Vejer, where the trail ends.

This trail begins on the road from Conil to Barbate along the coast (CA-2233).
