Museo de Raíces Conileñas (Conileñas Roots Museum)

Museo De Raíces Conileñas
Ethnographic museum founded in 1979

This ethnographic museum was founded in 1979 by a group of friends from Conil who created the "Raíces Conileñas" Association, with the aim of conserving, protecting and disseminating the history, traditions and culture of the town.
Since 1982 it has been located in the reconstructed premises of the Castle of Conil and is made up of some 470 pieces.
The museum is divided into four rooms, the first of which is dedicated to the tools of the sea and the countryside. The other three rooms simulate a late 19th and early 20th century house of a well-to-do middle class family and reflect the way of life and the utensils commonly used in this period.
This museum houses the best exhibition to learn about the traditions and way of life of Conil and its inhabitants.
