General information
This is one of the two fountains located in the "Carril de la Fuente". Taking advantage of the abundance of aquifers (subterranean layers of water-bearing permeable rock) in the area, they supplied the urban core with water.
In 1797 the "Old Fountain" was remodelled and stone benches were placed around it to create a communal space for the residents of the town.
