Every spring, La Ruta de la Huerta is the first of three routes organised annually by Conil Town Council, through the Municipal Tourist Board, together with the Young Restaurateurs Association, based on the revaluation and promotion of different gastronomic preparations based on these products.
The participating restaurants and bars offer in their establishments, specific menus of dishes made from the products of the Conilian market garden, all of them with a common characteristic, to give prominence to these local products.
The gastronomic exhibition marks the start of the route. It is held in the Torre de Guzmán and the Plaza Santa Catalina, an ideal setting to savour these products surrounded by our most emblematic buildings. Only during the gastronomic exhibition do the participating establishments offer tapas as a sample of some of the dishes included in the menu of dishes that can be tasted in their bars and restaurants during the week of the route. In addition to these tapas, during the gastronomic sample you can also get to know different local companies that make their products known through the exhibition and sale in different stands.
