Surf

The practice of different types of surfing on the beaches of Conil is commonplace.

One of the favourite beaches for lovers of this sport is Los Bateles beach, in the area of the mouth of the Salado river, where, thanks to the existing currents, perfect waves are formed for kitesurfing with incredible views of Conil as a beautiful white village.

Another common beach for the practice of this sport is Playa Fontanilla, where different surfing championships have been held. It has long waves with a sandy bottom, ideal for all levels.

Another of the beaches is Fuente del Gallo, a beach surrounded by cliffs where larger waves are formed, perfect for more experienced surfers.

The fourth favourite beach and one of the best in the province of Cadiz for the practice of this sport is Roche beach, where, with an easterly wind, waves form that are perfect for learning and surfing at all levels.

During the summer season, surfing on the different beaches is only permitted outside beach service hours.
