The Trafalgar Lighthouse was built in 1860. At 34 metres high (51 metres above sea level), it is one of the most unique buildings on the coast of Cadiz and Andalusia. It stands on the Trafalgar Tombolo, an Andalusian geological heritage site, and has been a privileged witness to some of the most important scenes that have marked the history of Spain. The Battle of Trafalgar, which took place in 1805, is one of the most important events that took place on the tombolo.
It is located in an environment surrounded by golden dunes, large beaches and vegetation that sometimes reaches down to the sand.
