General information
An extensive unspoilt beach, located at the foot of the tower of the same name. It is not accessible by car, but it is easy to reach from the pedestrian bridge over the Salado River. This beach is ideal to enjoy longs walks in a unique environment where nature is the protagonist. It begins at the mouth of the Salado River, next to the town of Conil, and ends at the mouth of the Conilete River, next to the village of El Palmar,in the municipality of Vejer. A beach of great scenic importance, one of its most striking features is the absence of buildings.
It is of great environmental importance, as in addition to the historical remains, it has a wide variety of ecosystems, dunes,lagoons, old salt pans,crop fields and livestock. The wealth of fauna is also outstanding, especially insects and birds such as the Kentish Plover or families of Eremita Ibis that nest in the Tower, and can be easily observed. Surfing, windsurfing and kitesurfing are common here.
Other interesting information: This unspoilt beach is of great environmental importance, both in terms of flora and fauna.
